Natural History Society – Christmas 1915

We are too busy doing war work again this winter to give any time to Museum work. Some members of Lower IV. and III. have been very helpful in arranging and naming specimens.

Thanks are due to May Abbott, who presented the Museum with a beautiful collection of butterflies, moths and beetles, also to Mrs. Ashton for the gift of an Indian Temple model made of pith.

Three expeditions were made during the summer term: to Milford Water Meadows, where the Yellow Iris and wens were the chief attraction; to Watery Harnham, where we fished for water creatures; to Aldberbury Bog, where we found Sundew, Butterwort, and Heaths among other interesting specimens.
